Delivery Charges
Roofing shingles are heavy, approx. 30kg per pack, which makes them much too heavy to go in the post. We use a pallet delivery network for our deliveries. That means we can deliver to anywhere in the UK quickly, cheaply and efficiently.
There is a delivery charge which is calculated at the checkout. It depends on the number of packs you are having and your postcode. Transport tends to be on an economy of scale, so the more packs you order, the less delivery is per pack. We do not make any money on transport, we only charge you what the our transport provider charges us.
Smaller accessories such as Shingle Stick or nails can go on the same pallet.
Delivery Times
You will receive an email notification of your delivery date after your order has been processed. If you need your roof shingles for a specific date please contact us before placing your order to check what is possible.
You will need to be there to sign for the delivery.
Deliveries are week days only and can be anytime between 09.00 and 17.00.
Unfortunately the transport companies are unable to give estimated times of arrival.
The Delivery
Deliveries are usually made on a 7.5ton or 18ton rigid lorry but larger lorries may be used in some areas. If you think access could be a problem please contact us in advance with the details. If the transport company cannot deliver there will be a charge for re-delivery.
The lorry will have a tail lift so they can bring the pallet down to ground level. They will pull the pallet off the lorry using a pallet truck. The driver is not expected to take the pallet any further so you should make the necessary arrangements for moving the goods onwards from the roadside.

Problems?
Delivery is ultimately the responsibility of the transport company and we cannot be held responsible for any delays due to the transport company or any other unforseen circumstances. Time is not of the essence. If you need the goods for a specific date and time you must advise us of this when ordering.
You must inspect the goods on delivery/collection. Although unlikely, if there is any damage you must write a brief description on the POD which the driver will have and notify us within 48 hours. Risk passes to you on delivery/collection.
Returns will only be accepted if the goods are damaged. We are not able to accept returns if you have ordered the wrong product, quantity, or for any other reason.
Sometimes the pallets and packs the shingles come in may look a little dirty or tatty – the plastic wrap may be scuffed or torn a little and plastic around the shingles often comes undone when they are lifted up. This is simply external wear and tear which comes about from transporting, forklifiting, storing and manhandling the packs and pallets. This is all completely normal and does not constitute damage. The shingles themselves are hard to damage so will be in good condition.
